Industrious

I so wish I could read Japanese - I love the look of these vessels from SML. Their products are just beautiful and have convinced me a trip to Japan is well in order.

Their products would look great teamed with our Just Married story from Issue 14. They have that industrial edge to them. Oh, and don't forget, you can download our nifty napkin design from this story - just perfect to complete the theme.

Wire Works

Look at these nifty wire works from Debeaux Souvenirs in France. They would make really interesting talking points for reception decoration, especially if one spelt out the bride and groom's names. Luckily for us they ship worldwide via Etsy.

This one would be an ideal spot for guests to drop a handwritten note to the couple.

Clear, the new sophisticated stemware collection from Waterford Crystal, is perfectly perfect for modern living. The stylish yet understated new collection retains the intrinsic brilliance of crystal with each stem featuring the simplicity of a clear bowl paired with a Waterford Crystal signature cut focused on the foot of the glass. These differing crystal cuts form the collections’ two gorgeous patterns; Light (star-cut) and Caro (diamond-cut). Not only is entertaining at home effortless with Clear stemware, Waterford Crystal's design team created this new collection with the wine lover in mind. The range offers classic varietal-specific shapes, designed to enhance both the taste and aroma for each variety of wine. Furthermore, the glasses are perfectly proportioned, having fine rims to allow for the perfect tasting experience. The versatile collection makes a beautiful addition to any type of party. The Right Type

I love to read through magazines, books and websites searching out new and interesting typefaces. I've blogged before about the importance of choosing the right typeface for a job - whether that be for a magazine spread or for wedding stationery - each font has a personality of its own and imparts a very particular style.

Earlier this week I was very excited to have a look through the new Lonny magazine. One of the cofounders is Michelle Adams, owner and designer of Rubie Green - they supply a fabulous range of geometric-patterned fabrics. What passion this woman must have - to run her hugely popular company AND start up a 150 page digital magazine! I am so impressed.

There was one typeface in Lonny magazine that really caught my eye - Emmascript.

It's fun and relaxed, mimicking a casual handwriting. I've used it a number of times in Wedding Style Guide - this was for our Garden Party story in Issue 6.

A handwriting-style typeface will put the reader at ease - it's inviting and unpretentious - like reading something from an old friend. Maybe a typeface like this is worth considering for your stationery.

Coffee Break

Further to my previous posting on Pantone and all the wonderful products they produce, have a look at these fun espresso cups and mugs available from Melbourne Wedding Registry. They come in a huge range of colours - it's just a matter of choosing your own signature shade.

The Payoff
It sure does pay to be blantantly obvious about secret wishes and deep-seated desires... imagine my delight when I arrived at my desk to find a GORGEOUS little package.

Firstly - tiny stationery is a bit of 'thing' for me - the teeny, tiny pink envelope is definitely a keeper. Then the beautifully coordinated cotton tape in the hottest of pinks sent my heart racing...

Then to find 3 fabulous tubes of the beautifully-designed Marvis toothpastes!

Thank you soooooo much Kimberlee from Brown Button Trading - you have made my day. All I have to do now is conquer my intense desire to place these marvels into some kind of uber-chic still life, never to be touched because they're just too gorgeous to use!
